BPO Resumes Acceptance of Goods for Mailing to the US

Government of Bermuda

The Bermuda Post Office (BPO) is pleased to announce that, with immediate effect, customers can resume sending mail containing goods from the General Post Office to the US.

As part of this service enhancement, customers will be required to pay the applicable U.S. tariff based on the country of origin of the manufactured item being shipped.

To facilitate this process, customers are encouraged to download BPO’s mobile app, Zonos Prepay, to their Android or Apple device. The app will guide users step-by-step through the declaration process, ensuring accurate calculation of the required tariff before the mail item is presented to the Post Office for shipment.

Mail items containing printed matter, such as calendars, will also be accepted as bona fide customer-to-customer gifts, provided the value is under $100.

Customers are encouraged to visit BermudaPost.bm for additional information to download and begin using the app. Individuals needing assistance may contact the Bermuda Post Office at 297-7893 (Ext. 5) or visit the General Post Office.

The Bermuda Post Office is pleased to resume this expanded Parcel service and remains committed to providing affordable, efficient, reliable, and customer-focused postal solutions to the public.
