The Department of Sport and Recreation advises that registration for summer day camps through the Camp Connect platform opened today, 4 May, at 10 a.m.
Some users are currently experiencing intermittent issues with the system. This is being treated as a priority. Technical teams are actively working to identify and resolve the problem as quickly as possible.
Registration remains open until 15 May, and the lottery will take place on 25 May as scheduled.
The Minister of Tourism & Transport, Culture & Sport, the Hon. Owen Darrell, JP, MP, stated, “We recognise the frustration these disruptions may cause and want to assure the public that this matter is being taken seriously. Our teams are working with the Digital Transformation Team and are fully engaged in resolving the issue, and we remain committed to ensuring a fair and reliable registration process for all families.”
The Minister for the Cabinet Office and Digital Innovation, the Hon. Diallo Rabain, JP, MP, said, “We apologize for this regrettable delay and the inconvenience caused to the public. Our technical teams are actively working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Initial investigations suggest the disruption may be linked to a cloud-based service outage overseas, which has affected how traffic is being managed across regions. While temporary measures have been put in place to keep the system running, we are continuing to monitor performance closely and work toward a full and permanent resolution. We will provide further updates as more information becomes available and appreciate the public’s patience as we address this matter.”
The Department apologises for the disruption and will provide further updates as required.
